Hey everyone,

I'd like everyone input on the new release from Nvidia today!... Any changes in late games like FarCry2 or Fallout 3 that you can see.

Plus how is the Dual Screen?

Anyones input would be appreciated.

Well haven't jumped into FarCry 2 yet to see how thats going, but was a little disappointed that my 3Dmark06 score dropped.

Hmmm.... Nvidia getting tanked on performance and conveniently release a "magic" driver pack for the holiday season...


They have previous for dubious practices - such as compromising image quality for frames per second.


I would advise everyone to be very wary - if its too good to be true... its usually not true.

That's the most I've ever seen promised by a new driver. Haven't noticed any difference in gameplay, and my 3d mark score remained the same. No 10% increase as advertised.

For what i've seen, i've got a 5 FPS gain in Far Cry 2 over the last official drivers 178.24 (now more like 49-50, before it was 44-45). Same thing with the beta driver 180.43 though... although now i have a bit of glitches in COD:WaW. So it's kind of mixed feelings for these drivers. I'll see what they can do after christmas when i get my dual scree setup.
