Hello,

i'm using an ELO touchscreen 15'' and i had to replace it. After replacing the monitor the display settings automatically changes resolution to 1024 x 768 instead of 800 x 600.
After testing only by disabling the plug and play service the problem solved but I am afraid that this is not an acceptable solution. Any help it would be appreciated.

Monitors will often auto adjust for their optimal resolution. To change it, you just have to go into the display properties, and change it back.

Thanks for your answer. I want to know if there is a way to keep the resolution steady without doing that move. I might have to change them all to a new model and i don't want to do it for all 184 monitors!

A group policy would be my only thought, but I don't think there is one that applies to the resolution.

Someone else may have some other ideas though.
