Hello, i want to buy a motherboard - cpu - memory and graphic card.
i was thinking about an asus striker II pro - intel quad core 9400 - ddr3 on 1333 and an asus ENGTS250 DK/DI/1GD3 CUDA.

Is it good or i should buy something cheaper or go to i7 technology?

Go with an i7... You will see better performance overall. Then again it depends on how much money you want to spend and what components you already have. IF you go i7 and depending on what kind of gamer you are and what else you will use the PC for will greatly change what components you need to upgrade.

First How much do you have to spend??
Second, what components do you already have? Case? PSU?? Monitor?? Give details...

Yeah, depends how much money you want to spend. I would also go with the i7 though. It has great performance and will future proof your system. The thing about Core 2 quad systems is that intel is not making any new CPU's for them. So if you wanted to upgrade in a year, you would have to buy a whole new system.

Either way you want to go i would wait til march because the price of everything will drop when gt300 and Gulftown hits the streets.

We need your budget though.

i told you that i want a mobo, a cpu, a graphics card and memories. i have case - hd - dvd etc.
the standards i have are memories kingston on 1600 o.c. 4gb - that will cost about 100 euro here in Greece.
graphic card asus ENGTS250 DK/DI/1GD3 CUDA that costs about 140 euro in Greece. So i am looking for mobo and cpu! lets say to spend about 400 euro for that?
