Strange test results with Memtest86...

Wife getting Bsods... Her set up is very similar to mine except NO OC and her memory is Crucial Ballastix..., mobo is Gigabyte p965.... memory is 4x 1gb....

I ran memtest with 2 sticks, in 2 slots, got errors, run them in the other 2 slots, no errors..

2nd set of sticks, no errors in any slots...... Run the original set 2 more times is both sockets, no errors....

I was running sets of memory to try to help me more quickly find which stick was bad...

How the heck do I find the bad stick(s)??

Any suggestions? I know that my version of Memtest is a bit older... could that be it?

It could simply have been a bad contact. Removing and inserting the modules a couple times might have been enough to resolve the issue. Insert all 4 modules and run memtest for several hours.
