Hello evrybody!


Im looking to buy a new, high-end gaming laptop. My choice is Alienware, as far as i see - they make the best gaming systems. They got 2 models that i presonaly like. The M17 and M17x. For the same money you can get M17 with: Quad-Core, 2x ATI Radeo 3870, 2x 320GB HD. For just a little bit more you get in M17x: Dual-Core, 2x nVidia 9800M GT, 1x 320GB HD. So my questions is - which graphics system will perform better? ATI or nVidia? Because on desktops CrossFire is not so good compared to SLI. And why M17 is cheaper than M17x? Because it got better CPU and bigger HD for the same price? Is Radeon 3870 that bad? Because as far as i see - Mobile Radeon 3870 is the most powerfull solution from ATI, so why is it so cheap?

So, what is better in LAPTOP? CrossFire or SLI?

Or maybe someone knows better systems? Any different companys? Im ready to spend around 2800-3300$ on a laptop.

Hello and welcome to the forums mate :)
Well overall i recommend M17 over M17x because its cheaper and has better CPU and the difference between 2x HD 3870 and 2x9800MGT arent much,however if u want to pay that much then take a look @ SAGER NP9262 notebook in www.xoticpc.com
