JRAID Error?

Last response: in Storage

Hey all!

I'm having some issues. I've got the Gigabyte H55m-USB3 motherboard, running 2x500GB Samsung Spinpoint F3 hard drives in RAID0. I'm experiencing some random freezes with the computer, where my CPU will max, sound will loop repeatedly, then after about 30 seconds everything will be back together.

The thing that makes me think that it may be the RAID controller/driver is that there are very frequent JRAID errors in Event Viewer. In properties, I get this: "The device, \Device\Scsi\JRAID1, is not ready for access yet.". Has anyone else had an issue similar to this? Does anyone have a solution?

Thanks in advance!

I would try a hard drive diagnostic. Sounds like one of the drives are bad. I would back up everything you can. Delete the RAID and then do a hard drive diagnostic.

I could also be the raid controller as well. I suppose it could be the power supply as well if there's not enough power to feed the drive.

Just some ideas.
