Some kids at my school thought it would be funny if they disabled many of the functions of one of our public Windows XP computers. They disabled the start bar, and parts of Windows Explorer, and other "smaller" things like right-clicking. They left enough room for me to get onto the admin account, but it seems they disabled the admin account even more as to make it "un-undoable." I found some random registry files on the desktop, but with regedit disabled all i could do was look at them on my computer, which doesn't help, because I don't know how to edit registries. I'm seeking advice on how to undo this and more specifically, where to learn how to read the registries in order to find what they did.

Thanks in advance for your help

if you can force a system restore (Try a boot disc) that should restore the registry to what it was prior to the little /b/astards messing with it.

enable ausiting on that PC to track changes to the registry, or restrict the *** out of it.
