Cirago external hard drive pluged into wrong cord

I have a 1TB Cirago external hard drive that I pluged the wrong 12V power cord into it. I think it's supposed to have 12v 1A or something and I pluged it into a 12v 2A and ever since then it's never worked with the normal cord. So I took it out of the external hard drive case and I tried plugging it into my desktop computer as a slave drive but it's not showing up in windows 7 or even in the bios... any answers???

Is there a program or something that can reset the firmware or something so it will show up in the bios and read it as a normal hard drive??
