PCIe 1.1 electrical x8 vs x16

So I have a mother board laying around that has a PCIe x16(x8 electrical). I was wondering how big the performance hit on say a gtx 260 would be at the lower electrical speed. Everywhere I read about this, they are only talking about the PCIe 2.0 spec so I cannot find a clear answer on this. Can someone please help me?

Not much difference, a few FPS, that`s all.

I ran a few tests because I realized my current mobo has an x8 also an found a difference of about 3 fps or ~300 points in 3D Mark so its not bad at all.

ya not much maybe 2-5fps difference. i believe if you oc your spp pci-e frequency it should help a little bit. (default is 100mhz hit like 110-115)
