I was wondering if a Motherboard with a higher FSB would be compatible with a CPU that has a lower FSB. To be more specific, the ASUS RAMPAGE FORMULA LGA 775 Intel X48 ATX Intel Motherboard has a FSB of 1600/1333 MHz. The processor I want is the Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Kentsfield 2.4GHz 2 x 4MB L2 Cache LGA 775 Quad-Core Processor with a FSB of 1066MHz. Any info would be very appreciated. Thanks!

It should work. Look up the supported CPUs on the ASUS website.

I would suggest the Q8300 or Q9400 instead. They are faster and run cooler.
