I've always heard that PC P&C was a top brand, but this is the second DOA I've got out of 3.

the first DOA was a new PSU, turbo cool 510 I got from ebay. it made the computer unstable. sent it back to PC P&C, and they were very good to deal with and sent me another one. that one is still going strong. This was about the time on the OCZ takeover.

I just got a 500 silencer and it wont power up the computer in or out of the case, but it does turn on when I try the jumper test. An old 1u I have laying around does fire up the computer in question.

Anybody else have back luck with PC P&C or is it just me? (like my 3 out of 4 bad gigabyte mobos)

You bought the first on eBay, you had that coming!

The other one just sounds unlucky.

Better DOA than frying everything afterwards!

I've had good luck with PC P&C PSUs, though I've never tried anything lower than the 610W unit.

Only ever bought one and that is the current one, no problems so far after about a year.
