I'm building a new system my mobo has some SATA 3.0, I have a Raptor and a regular harddrive, can I use the SATA 3.0 or should I just use the SATA 2.0, does it make any difference? will there be any unpleasent affects if I do?

The drives themselves aren't even fast enough to get bottlenecked by SATA 2.0, so they won't run any faster if you connect them to a SATA 3.0 port. So it doesn't really matter which ports you connect them to, they'll perform the same.

Thanks sminal, this is my first build and my UD7 has so many features Im getting a little confused on what is best. Maby in a few years when I can afford a SSD I give the sata 3 a try. Thanks again.
