Could I get an inexpensive upgrade for a CPU for my computer without updating the motherboard or power supply. I have 4Giggs DDR2 RAM, ATI 4670 Card, 305 Watt PSU. I am sorry for the dumb questions but I do not know much about computers. You guys know much more than I do. I currently have a Pentium 4 3.00 GHZ. Thank You for reading.

Here is a link to a dell E510 http://support.dell.com/support/ed [...] #wp1052310

You could get a Pentium 4 670.

Kind of hard to find. It would take you from 3,000 to 3,800 MHZ.

The prices are quite high, $189 and above, on that Pentium 4 670.
