right now i have a amd 3800x2 and im looking to upgrade on a 100 dollar budget, but im not sure what i should get, i play some pc games and pretty much do just everyday pc things, i play wow mostly and some other fps games, i have a pretty good video card 9600gt and my cpu is for sure bottlenecking it so from what i seen is the amd 6400x2 with the 1x2 mb of catch and there is another one, amd 6000x2 that has 1mb of catch both seem pretty good compared to mine, wish one would be a better performer in games, or is there another one for 100 dollar budget that is better, i also plan to overclock wich ever one i get buy at least 300 mhz thanks alot in advance.

The 3800x2 came in socket 939 and AM2. The OP didnt mention what type of ram the system has to it may be a 939. If its AM2 check to see what your board/bios can support and toss the fastest cpu it can support in it

i have a amd 3800x2 with a m2n e-sli mb ,4 gigs for ram 1x4 gig sticks 667 mhz running in dual channel, msi 9600gt oc video card and ive decided to upgrade to a am2+ mb so pretty much any cpu under 100 dollars that can fit in a socket am2+ mb and the reason i say it bottlenecks my video card is cause all games play the same fps pretty much no matter what the rez is anywhere from 800x600 to 1280x1024 same fps game included are far cry 2, crysis, and wow and when i overcloak my cpu from 2ghz to 2.3 ghz i see about 6 fps average on those games so that indicated a cpu bottleneck for me

It is bottlenecking you without a doubt. The 7750 with a new AM2+ board will suit you very well. 780G or 790GX boards will be a sound upgrade. Or maybe a nvidia 750a if you want to eventually run SLI.

In theory you could go triple core. provided you dont live in the same state that they'll ship it from (tax would be included) newegg has two triple-cores for under 100. you can get the 8650 Toliman 2.3GHz for 99.99. Its got 3 x 512KB L2 and 2megs L3. sounds like a winner to me!

oh yea shipping is free, at least when i looked at it.
