Hey, I would like to get some opinions from other HD4850 users about which brand to buy. I would prefer to keep the price under $150, and my main interest is to get a card with good cooling. I am not particularly interested in OCing it, but you never know. So anyone with a 4850, feel free to tell me how you feel about your card. Thanks.

if cooling is important to you, get the palit 4850. it has an aftermarket cooler, and is dual slot. and last time i checked it was only $140.

i too am still wondering which card to buy... the HIS IceQ4 is a bit more expensive but is it worth it?? with all those scary thread bout the heat issues... i need to choose wisely cuz my comp is pretty overclocked (air cooled..) and im planning to use 2 ATI card with XFire...
arrghhhhhhh i cant decide

Here the Iceq4 is a lot more expensive so I didnt get it , but as far as I can see its the best cooled 4850 and for a hot running computer its going to help to have all that extra air venting outside the case

My suggestion is the Club3D one. => http://www.azerty.nl/_azerty/data/ [...] mg/1/G.jpg

I'm using it, it runs at 32 C with my fan on 30% (idle).
Full load (triple boxing WoW) 40 C. Maximum I've seen is 52 so far.

Good luck.
