All these newish CPUs drop down their frequency if they don't have enough cooling. So, to get get most of your seti or prime task, make sure the cool air flows, so the CPU doesn't have to slow down.

How can you get the temps that high?
I''m running seti at home with highly stressing Alex Khan's optimized version with stock cooling, and temps do not get higher than 81 C. Idle temp being at around 41 C.
Ambient 23 C.
Mine 8 threads doing 100% all the time.
Where's the answer to that, asking what is the question in the first hand?

I am not sure what you consider a newish CPU, but Intel has been using thermal throttling for a long, long time.

As to getting air flow to help cool the CPU, again, this is nothing new, Intel has been saying this for many years, take a look at this old Pentium II thermal management recommendation.
