It's not a car dude. Just be careful and my advice is, if you don't need OC, don't do it!! I mean, there's no game except crysis (which sucks big time IMO) that this card can't play stock. Think about it. OC and heat stresses the GPU in the longrun.

I have a 260, and I can play any game except crysis stock. But feel free to OC; the 260 has a lot of headroom. Just create a profile for the games that need it. For reference, I am stable at 735/1499/1198. Actually, it runs stable above that, but I pulled it back a bit for gaming.

well o/c isnt my main priority with this but it is an option, i am aware that this card is already good at stock speeds, but if i do decide to o/c it could only be a 5% increase all around, butttt a 5% wouldnt give that much a boost would it? if it doesnt which i dont think so, it would just add moer heat/stress to the card so in the end if i do decide to o/c it will be prob more than 5%, but again, its not a main priority.

When you OC, if you set the fan speed up high, like 100%, your temps will remain low. With my above over clock, my temps never go above 54c (with good case ventilation). Also, I see a 20ish percent increase in FPS with crysis. With temps around that point, it is not hard on your card. Plus, if you set profiles with hot-keys, then you can just keep the card stock until you reach a point in a game where things start to slow down. Once you get laggy, hit the hot-key get that boost.

What is not worth doing, is pushing the card to the absolute limit. That 1 or 2 FPS gain is not worth it. Just pull it back a bit once you find the stable max speed.

Nice, wait for new GTX 270-290 ? (maybe the 270 is gonna be way better then the 260 and the 260 price should take a drop when the new 270-290 comes out.
