I now I have the e2160 running at 3.0GHZ. I am thinking about shelling out $74.00 for the e5200. Is it worth the upgrade at this point?

I forgot to mention I only really play games on it. Playing Call of Duty : WAW right now

I have 250 to spend on this upgrade and I'm trying to decide whether to upgrade the cpu and the graphics card, or just sink the extra money in the card.

Current setup

E2160 @ 3.0GHZ
Radeon x1950xt
Ga-P35-DS3L

Buying

E5200
Sapphire Radeon 4850 512MB

Just wanting some opinions if the CPU upgrade is enough to justify not spending an extra $74 on a better video card

E5200 has twice as much L2 cache then the E2160 and a multiplier of 12.5 which makes it very overclockable.

I think I read somewhere they got it to 4GHZ with this cooler.

So in your opinion it is worth the $74.00 rather than 74 spent on a better video card than the 4850.

Or I could drop a q6600 in it and just forego the video card all together. The x1950xt still runs games well, but it has some heat issues, and that scares me.

Imo i wouldnt even upgrade to the E5200
The E2160 is a fine cpu especially when OCed and at 3.0 u might as well wait. The GPU would be money better spent as it will do more than a new cpu, but if ur 1950 is fine, then just stick with what u have and save $250
