ok, i've been looking into getting a 1Gb HD 4870, as we all know the limiting factor for the HD4870 at higher res its the lack of onboard memory.

looking around i've seen x-vision and palit sonic cards around £190 + VAT. They're both SONIC, both running turbo 775/4000MHz and both with identical heat sinks and fans (except for the colour). Is there any difference? further more there's the new Gainward golden sample, again identical appearance, and identical clock frequencies. and all come with 2 year warranties, and the only difference is the gainward is around £20 more.

Is there any difference between these cards, and is there a reason they all have the same settings and identical coolers, are they made by the same company?

Thanx!

You'd have to be playing at a very high res.

also, am not one of those people that ugrade like every year, so i would like to get a 4870 pre overclocked and with the 1gb of RAM as there's a good chance that you'll need over 512mb with games in the future.
