Help adding hard drive?

I have a Giabyte EP43-UD3L mobo, e8500 CPU, 2X WD 74gb Raptor 10,000 rpm, Wd 250gb HD, + 1TD external HD that I just put together with the help of a friend.
Here is my problem: As I added the second Raptor, it shows in the boot process, shows in the devise manager as working properly, yet it doesn't show in My Computer so that I could format it...
I would eventually would like to config the two raptor into a Raid 0 config., but that's down the road.

My understanding was that as I added the second Raptor it should have set itself up as a PnP devise?

Can someone help me to get it set up properly, and be very clear with step by step very basic terms... I'm tired, disabled and at a complete loss...
P.S. My friend left for a 3 week vacation

What OS are you using? If it is W7, right click on my computer, go to manage, enter the storage properties and such and see if it is there. If it is there, format it and the OS should recognize it.

It took me a few hours but I finally fiqured it out... Thanks for responding.
