Hello everyone,

I'm getting a HD4870 1Gb soon, but before I do, I'd like to know what would go better with it.... a 22 incher or a 24 incher, considering I like to play games with the highest quality? Would a 22 incher take advantage of the "power" of the card?

Any recommendations?

Thanks.

On both 22" (1680x1050) or 24" (1920x1200), that card will be able to play most games on maximum detail, so I would recommend the 24".
On a side note, the GTX260 Maxcore out-performs the 48701gb hands down. I'm not trying to start some pointless war here, just warning you about this fact.
Here are some recent reviews with the most recent drivers of both cards on which I base my judgement :

And to add fuel to the fire ;) I found the core 216 on tiger for about $264.00. Cheaper than ANY 4870 I could find and it come with a free copy of Far CRy 2! Can't beat it!

Hello,

The core 216 is kinda pricier here. It would set me back 333€, whereas the hd4870 is around 280€.

Either way, at least I know i would have no problem running either of them on a 24" rig.
