Im buildin a new i7 rig witha Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5 mobo and want to know wut is a good gaming sound card tht i should go for .....

im lookin at the x-fi titanium Fatal1ty but have heard a lot of bad reviews about creative.....

...the cheaper the better ;) ...should defitely be under 200 USD ....

want a sound card tht performs very well for games ...i will be gettin the razer megaladon headset when it comes out ...

Razer Barracuda AC-1 or an Asus Xonar DX/D2X. I like the Razer more for gaming, where the Xonar is better suited for a HTPC, but both, I believe, are far more stable and offer better quality than Creatives offerings.

hmm... was lookin at the barracuda ... will definetiley look into it and the asus

np. The xonar line is a good line, and its extra dolby playback options make it great for HTPC's.

Currently, I using Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Sound Card. Its work very well on my computer. If you are looking for an upper mid-range card to replace onboard sound, then this is definitely a good choice. The software that comes with the card is not spectacular, but it gives you quite a few options and it is easy to use. One of the great selling points is the ability to dynamically configure the output / input jacks on the back of the card. :pt1cable:

Even my realtek chipset supports doing that...
