Hi All,
I just swapped my corsair xms2 1gb pc2-6400 800mhz memory (5-5-5-18 - which i had 4 sticks of so 4gb)
for some:
crucial ballistix 2gb pc2-6400 800mhz (4-4-4-12 which i brought 4 sticks of so now 8gb)
I set the timings for the memory on my motherboard and increased the voltage to 2.0v but haven't noticed an increase in speed, if not it takes longer for some applications to open and windows to boot. Vista x64 has picked all the 8gb up though.
is there something i'm doing wrong? all help will be greatly appreciated!
My spec is:
Intel Q6600 - not oc'd
Striker Extreme II
Corsair 620w psu
8800 GTX nvidia graphics card
