Dell 5100

I just had a friend of mine give me a dell inspiron 5100 that has a pentium 4 2.66 ghz processor with 512 l2, I was wondering if anyone knows if you can upgrade this to a higher pentium 4 with the same socket but a higher l2?

The 5100 can also be had with a 2.4-GHz or a 2.8-GHz Pentium 4.
I think you could upgrade to 2.8 GHZ. You might need a bios update as well.
Check with Dell also as I haven't done this.
