3 memory modules on an ABIT AT8 32X motherboard

I have an ABIT AT8 32X motherboard and 3 PC3200 memory modules, two of which are 512MB, and a new unopened one which is 1GB. I've read the manual, and it describes 1-, 2-, and 4-module configurations. Should three modules work?

If you have the modules, why don't you try them? It won't break anything, but it might not work if they specifically mention that only 1, 2 or 4 modules are supported.

Thanks for the reply. I didn't want to open the new module w/o knowing whether it would work.

We can't guarantee that it will work if ABIT state that you require 1, 2 or 4 modules. Why didn't you buy 2 modules to run in dual channel?
