Hello, I re-installed windows xp professional from a file i downloaded from the internet as i had lost the disk for the installation of windows xp. when i re-installed windows xp i was trying to get online and it said there are no drivers for the ethernet and the audio doesn't work either. I was trying to find files to install but when i ran the files on it it wants to download some things from the internet which is what im trying to do.... so how can i get the files so i can get online with it?

Do you have access to another computer so you can download the drivers and install them via flash drive?

yes.... i was trying to do that but the programs to install some files needed .net framework to run.... so that must be missing too.

You might be able to get that from MS's website.

I just did the same thing with my computer. First you need to go MS's website and update the .net framework. After that find outs what company you sound card (or motherboard if its onboard) and go to their website. Generally they can run a scan and determine what model it is and install the drivers right there from the website.
