Can't figure out error message

what does the error message..."ERROR!...THE BIOS IS TOO OLD, OR THE MOTHERBOARD IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH CURRENT HARDWARE" mean?......i get this when i boot up computer for 1st time.

lemme check......i believe i have the latest bios..."rev 401"...also, there are no jumpers on the back of either hard drive or dvd-rw...is that normal?....1 more thing i noticed is that in the bios it asigned my hard drive as secondary master and my dvd-rw as 3rd master...whats with that?...if you couldn't tell im a 1st time builder here!
 
There are no jumpers on SATA drives. Device assignment is based on the SATA port where you connected it. Connect them to a different port if you don't like the current assignment.

How is the floppy configured in the BIOS?

so i don't need to have my hdd as primary master?...or dvd-rw as primary slave?
just as long as its assigned somewhere?
