Would This be a Great Processor for a gamer? Please let me know. If it is not even close then let me know I play online RPS
but i also play first person shooters. MONEY IS NOT AN ISSUE AT ALL So let me know whats best Im tired of just spending 4-6 thousands dollars on the top of the line Dell XPS desktops and i wouldnt mind making one myself please let me know. You can email my at SEFIORE@RADFORD.EDU

More accurately, it's an excellent CPU, but completely a waste now because the i7 965 beats it and is $500 cheaper. The i7 965 Extreme is currently the fastest CPU that money can buy, if that's what you're looking for.

 

Of course, you could just get the i7 920, overclock it to 3.7GHz, and have more than enough performance for just about anything for $1200 less than a QX9770 (and $700 less than an i7 965)...

Core 17 build all the way, they start at $1500. For around $2500 you will have something that the Dell product designers can only drool over.
