I have (x2) 1GB sticks of Ballistix (matched pair PC2 8500 CAS 5-5-5-15 @ 2.0 volts) these are single-sided modules

I have (x2) 2GB sticks of G.Skill (matched pair PC2-8500 CAS 5-5-5-15 @ 2.1 volts) these are double-sided modules

... 3 questions

1. Are there any problems mixing RAM from different manufactures.

2. Are there any problems mixing double sided with single sided modules.

3. If I insert all 4 sticks (into the appropriate colour DIMM slots), will they ALL work together in Dual Channel mode. (Asus P45 mobo)

thanks in advance

As long as you're running a 64bit OS,you should be fine running them together.I recommend putting the BALLISTIX in one color and the G.SKILL in the other color. As they both run with similar voltages and the same timings, there should be no problem. If this was 3-4 yrs ago, there would be a problem, but support for memory in most BIOS these days covers a wide range of memory.Goodluck.

OK thanks for that information, I think I'll try them in Windows 7 Beta (64bit) if it's still available to download.
