Hay Friends!

Hay I was looking at some Benchmarks and saw some Xeon CPU's scoring pretty good.

What is the deal? can I get a Xeon for my 790i Ultra and have it work the same as,Say a Q9650 :??:

Will it work with all my games and Maya and well Work the same as a normal CPU? like the Q6600 or Q9650?

Thanks! guy's! ;)

So what are the 775 Socket Xeons? Fake?

I see the Xeon X3360 gets a higher score then the Q9650 at lower clock rates?

why is that if they say that the X3360 is a Q9550?

The LGA 775 Xeons are the same as their Q9xxx counterparts except they require lower voltage. More often than not, the Xeon chips can overclock better with less voltage due to being made with higher quality silicon. Its not a 100% guarantee though. Personally I think the Xeon's are worth the extra money.

I wouldn't make too much of that chart - the Xeons have exactly the same architecture as the Core 2s, so at the same speed with the same cache, they should be basically the same performance. I'd go with the xeon if possible, and if the additional cost isn't too much (though the 9650 is an EXCELLENT cpu, no doubt)
