Hello all. I am having quite a difficult time finding hardware for using photoshop to it's outmost potential. I am going to be using x64 Windows and i would like to know what would be the best hardware for the job.

I am not certain if i should go with something like a Skulltrail system or a server board with dual or quad sockets. I want 32 gigs of RAM, and i want to stay in the price range of about $5000 (not including the monitor).

Can someone give me some insight?

The sculltrail or the ASUS Z7S WS would be the choise if the budget is below 5000$ Fill it up with 6x 2gb ram blocks ddr2 pc6400 or 8500 dual channel 1066MHz would be a very good and cheaper solution alot below 5000$. Im running normal 4 core (G0) 3,6GHz OC, 64bit vista 8 gb ram 1066MHz dual channel witch runs like a charm. I can render in Max with all cores at full charge and edit my pictures in cs3 photoshop at the same time without any lack from my pc at all. So I can only dream of the power on a system like that.

That´s my best offer... Good luck
