Ok this is the deal.. for the past week ive been trying to build a computer and i have seriously made so many damn builds because my 2 friends that have been helping me kept persuading me to change my motherboard or processor or whatever from intel to AMD and vice versa and i still havent come to a deal.. My budget is about 1k i could spend a couple hundred more prolly.. but basicially all i really want my computer to do is to be able to run cs 1.6 flawlessly have 100fps constant hopefully in a smoke or two lol.. and have really good graphics the monitor i know im definently gonna be getting is this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 4001274... but anyway all im asking for is some help to make a new computer.. cause in december i have my bday hanukah(jewish holiday) and christmas! so thats like massive money and presents so thats when im getting the majority of my money/stuff and its coming up around the corner so id like to make my mind up sooner or later so yea... id really appreciate your guys help cause ive been stressin and strugglin so much this week just over a computer! i know its stupid lol.. anyway thanks in advance for your advice

Which monitor exactly? Your link gives us a list of all Samsung products available at Newegg.com Can you give me the model of the one your actually going? I assume the monitor cost are included in that 1k budget, am I correct in this assumption?

So that leaves $800 as the budget, I am on my way out right now but I'll get a build for you in about a hour when I get back.

Nice. Nothing to add to that build, slomo nailed it.

damn nice job man.. 2 things first one is what about a sound card? do i need one? and also in what ways is the 22" better than the 19"

Reply to toueg

The motherboard has built in audio which is usually more than enough.

The 22" allows for higher resolution.

oh yea and what about a cpu fan?

Reply to toueg

Its a boxed CPU and therefore comes with the factory heatsink + fan. This should be fine unless you plan on overclocking.

nope i dont .. thanks so much man you dont know how much i appreciate you doing this

Reply to toueg

The retail fan is adequate.

If you want more, then possibly:

I literally just ordered the set up slomo named, minus the PSU...I got a different one combo with case. Recommended +1.

Reply to Dante Sly

Just curious, which PSU did you end up going with Dante?

Went with the Antec EA650
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6817371015

because it was combo with my case, Antec 300
