I am soon building a rig at a expense of $2500-$2700
My first question is Ati or Nvidia?
A friend of mine states that because the memory on a ATI is GDDR5, the quality is superior and that is why they lack a bit of FPS performance. On the other hand every review has benchmarks that only show FPS and the higher they are they tend to be the "superior card" but is it really true?
My other problem is basically im building a really good rig hence my desire to overclock a Q9650 to 4 ghz and i understand this require watercooling but i have a phobia for a leak to occur and my system to get fried i dont have this money every year so i want advice in this also.
Thank you
Pondering on this build:
Case:
Tagan Black Pearl CS- im guessing air cooling with a thermal elec. cooler for cpu and many powerful fans... Hurray Vacuum PC!! -_-
PSU:
SilverStone 1200W for later upgrades
Mobo:
Asus P5E64 Evolution
CPU:
Q9650
Memory:
G. Skill 4Gb DDR3 1600
Video:
Radeon 4850
