If I need anything additional added to my list, tell me and I will add it. Anything.

I'm only really playing WoW, and CSS at the time being, but I do intend to branch out into other games. So, I would like to have a PC that can play games with high requirements.

Say that I only continue to play WoW and CSS. What components can I remove to reduce the overall cost? Keep in mind that I want these games to be able to be played at max settings smoothly. (I'm sure the current list will be entirely replaced).

Thank you!

Register or log in to remove.

Thats pretty much overkill for just WoW and CSS. You could make a system for around 1k that would meet and maybe even exceed your current needs.

Look to this thread for a reference build:

What about CoD4, Crysis...? I do want to try other games.

Should run both fine, although you will need to crossfire to run Crysis at max settings.

Or go with this GPU instead:

SUS EAH4870/HTDI/1G Radeon HD 4870 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card

Its $110 more than the other setup by going with this card

These would be my recommendations.

Also, since you are going with a quad core... are you planing on using this machine for anything besides gaming?
