Cannot oc my 945 without becoming unstable

im trying to overclock my 945 using an asus m477td mobo. i can get it to 3.2 but is not quite stable. any little bit of voltage i give it causes it not to boot, says "overclocking failed, over voltage failed". not really sure what to set my NB while overclocking or if at all. new to ocing but am familiar with my bios any help i would appreciate! trying to reach 3.6 or so.... thanks

well i got it stable at 3.625 and is stable for 9 hours at 3.75 need some more work though but yeah it is all about the same, more volts, different timings, more this less that lol thank you!. no lol im using a zalman c9900 temps never break 40c even at 1.45 volts

hi there 3.75 sound good for that cpu but u can try these settings to see if u can get it higher set cpu voltage to 1.50 to 1.525 set nb freg to 2600 leave ht at auto set cpu northbridge to 1.2 maybe 1.3 set the northbridge voltage the same as the cpu northbridge to upping your ram voltage to 1.8 to 1.9 well help stable the computer if u r useing tight settings on your memory try these and see what it does
