I'm about to buy my comp...i mean I'm literally 5 mins away, but I need some help!
Here's the breakdown...
My first choice is 2 x 3870 in crossfire = $65 for each one after the $45 MIR = $130 for two
or
1 x 4850 = $190

anyone have benches handy? i looked but couldn't find good comparison.
THANK U!!!!

edit found this:

HD4850 any day... the x2 and Crossfire configurations require the 3D application to support it. If not then the second GPU is a sitting duck and you will be getting much worse performance than a single HD4850. Besides the HD4850 will support Hardware Acceleration of video encoding applications in the next revision of the 8.12 Catalyst drivers. So if you are into any kind of video encoding this could be worthwhile, a little more futureproof and much faster in games.
