Windows xp srv The servers call to a system service failed unexpectedly

Hello,

I'm running Windows XP SP3, and getting the following "srv 2000" error continuously in EventLog:

The server's call to a system service failed unexpectedly.

Any ideas what's causing this?

Since you're not running Server 2000, I assume it's a bad registry install.
I would assume it's safe to delete srv 2000 references from registry.
Backup registry first, so you can restore if needed.
