Hi Everyone,

I have an Asus p5QE motherboard and logitech x51 5.1 speakers. The motherboard supports 8 channel hidef audio. I have installed the Sound MAX driver that came with the board.

The problem is that the audio is driven only to the front two speakers. Sound MAX detects that three jacks are connected (front, rear and center/sub woofer) but when I press the test button, only the front two speakers work. The driver display shows that something is playing in the rear and center speakers but no sound is out.

When I play a game or a dvd, the sound comes out of all the speakers but if I remove the green jack (Front speaker line), I do not get any sound from the rear or the sub-woofer.

Can any one please tell me how to get all the speakers working or how I can diagnose the problem?

Thanks very much!!!
