Yeah im planning on building a computer that will run world of warcraft nice and smooth and some call of duty 4 as well.

Right now i wanna purchase the key components of a computer I got 410 dollars and right now this is what im about to purchase off new egg tell me if you have any suggestions and i just wanna make sure everything is compatible and these products are well worth my purchase.

CPU/Mobo Combo - AMD Athlon 64 X2 5400+ Brisbane 2.8GHz 2 x 512KB L2 Cache Socket AM2 65W Dual-Core black edition Processor

BIOSTAR A770 A2+ AM2+/AM2 AMD 770 ATX AMD Motherboard

Case/PSU Combo - Antec Three Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Antec NeoPower 550 550W ATX12V SLI Certified CrossFire Ready Active PFC Power Supply

RAM - G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F2-6400CL5D-4GBPQ -

GPU - XFX PVT98GYDLU GeForce 9800 GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card

=====================

PRICES

=====================

CPU/MOBO Combo = 126.99$
CASE/PSU Combo = 84.94$
RAM = 49.99$
GPU = 129.99$

Shipping & Handling = 14.74$

Total - 406.65$

Questions:

Everyone of those items have good reviews and rating.

Should I downgrade anything to something that has a lower price and good ratings?

Is my motherboard compatible with that ram and graphics card?

Just list any suggestions that i should change to save money and help my build better. and it can't be more than 410$ and yes that includes shipping and handling

Everything looks great! You should have no problem running your games very smoothly and yes all of your parts are compatible.

One thing though.....
Your XFX 9800gt is only a single slot cooler and will run quite hot...I know from experience. I would recommend this 9800gt that has a MUCH better cooler and is factory overclocked for 10 dollars less!

MSI N9800GT 512M OC GeForce 9800 GT 512MB

For an extra $32 I would recomend going with this Intel build

Intel Pentium E5200 Wolfdale 2.5GHz LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor
BIOSTAR TForce TP43D2A7 LGA 775 Intel P43 ATX Intel Motherboard

Helios recommends a good card but I think he provided the wrong link, this is the overclocked version and its actually $5 cheaper after MIR from the one he linked.

I don't think it will overheat i have a decent psu most people that had a very hot graphics card was becuase they didnt have enough wattage plus i got a nice cool case or what do you guys think?

The case is good but you will need to buy 2 120mm fans for the front panel to provide good inflow. The 200mm exhaust fan is great for pushing air out but you really do need to push cold air in.

You could also take the rear fan and remount it in the front and just buy 1 more fan. Since the rear fan is positioned higher than the front fans, it can act is a vent instead.
