First Time Builder: How's Everything Look?

This is my first experience building a computer and I'd like to get some reassurance that this build will function properly and that everything will be compatible. The current price just under $1300 (after making some changes to my original post.) -Added independent power supply, better MOBO, heatsink and upped the E8400 to 8500.
-Thanks for any advice/input!

More about first time builder look
  1. I would recommend the following upgrades:

    MSI P45 Platinum

COOLER MASTER Real Power Pro RS-750-ACAA-A1 750W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Certified CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Power Supply

COOLER MASTER Centurion 590 RC-590-KKN1-GP Black SECC / ABS ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Antec Three Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
  2. Ok thanks, the reviews for the MOBO were all good except that the BIOS needs to be upgraded from the 1.0 version.
  3. Another $10 will get you an 8500.

Does that Memory come with an additional $30 rebate card? that would make it $40 total!
  4. Sunbeam CR-CCTF 120mm "Core Contact Freezer" CPU Cooler
XIGMATEK HDT-S1283 120mm Rifle CPU Cooler

These are better CPU coolers at a lower price!

Save $10 here and go with the 8500 as spidy suggests :P
  5. About the RAM, I think it was at an additional special discount when I added it to my cart but that was at 11pm on Oct. 31st and I think it ended at the end of the month :(

I'll look into the 8500, it seems like it's exactly the same but 3.16GHz instead of 3.00GHz (I don't plan on doing any overclocking) and $20 more so I guess it's about even either way.

edit: Just was askin' if it mattered whether the wireless pci card had an x16 2.0 slot or not.
  6. The card uses a standard PCI slot and not a PCI Express slot, you have two standard PCI slots on the motherboard selected. You should have no issues.
  7. Ah ok thanks I thought that might be the case. Thanks for the tip Slomo4shO I chose the first CPU cooler you suggested.
