I´ve got an ATI Radeon X700SE, 512mb graphics cards (i got surprised when i found out that this card is typically used in notebooks instead of desktops like my pc ), unfortunately, it doesn´t handle games like "Brothers in Arms: Hell´s Highway" nor "Assassin´s Creed".

Conclusion: I need a new Graphics Card.

So, i´ve got an Intel Isleton D946GZIS motherboard and Intel Core 2 Duo E6300, 1.86Ghz processor.

Which Graphics Card is the best choice for me, taking in consideration compatibility issues (dunno which graphics cards are compatible with my motherboard) and low budget ( up to 100 euros which should give about 110-120 dollars).

Thanks guys.

So, we 're looking for a PCI-E card.

Which country?

What kind of PSU?

How about 124 euros, is that OK?

Sapphire HD 4830

There's a HD 4670 for 93 euros too, but it's only about half as powerful as the HD 4830.

Right now I`d suggest the HD4650/4670 as neither need an external power lead, are about as powerful as your CPU can drive, do n`t need that much power and in the UK at least can be had for under your 100 Euro budget.

See if you can get another 1GB of RAM for Christmas, or even another 3 GB. It would help a lot in recent games, especially the jump from 1GB to 2GB.

The PSU: you can find that out by opening the PC and looking. The most interesting part is what it says on the PSU under "12V". Here's a sample image from newegg:

You might find lower prices and/or lower shipping costs if you order from Portugal or Spain or England than that Dutch store I linked. Shop around.

FILIPEC:
1; Sounds nice, I`m stuck in grey, raining, England!
2;There will be a label on the PSU somewhere, though you may have to take the PSU out to read it.
3;You must have price check sites, use them, they can save you money.
4;Download and use CPUZ, it will tell you how much memory you have and what speed it is.

The forum GUI won't let me edit... I was just thinking, a shop in the UK may be a smart choice because the exchange rate between their pound and your euro is very much in your favor these days. Try these for example:
www.ebuyer.com, www.aria.co.uk, www.misco.co.uk, www.scan.co.uk, www.overclockers.co.uk.

Also, traditionally, prices for PC hardware in Germany seem to be lower than in the rest of the EU. This may not be true any more, I just remember it from some articles I read about a year ago. It may also not apply to video cards around 100 euros, I don't know. Check their prices anyway, I think it's worth it.

Good links, Can`t speak about the others, but Ebuyer and Overclockers have had my money for the last few years.

download CPU-Z that can tell you ALOT about your computer-board-memory-cpu-everything we need to know.

For the PSU it can be writen on it ...

Depend on what you plan to do, your proc is goinf to be the forst bottlenek, a 9800GT or 4830 like AEVM told is good for you.

We´ve found an ATI HD 4550 for 60 euros in a nearby store, should i get it?

there's plenty of 8800gtx on sale, just sold mine for 120 euro's. I'd say that would still beat any of them cards, incl 8800GT and 9800GTX on high resolution & 24" gaming.......

No. You'd be disappointed. Save some more, and in the meantime gaming cards will become cheaper.
