Sup Gamers and Gamettes? I got a query: Been pondering a new video card. My rig is custom built by me. It is a Cooler Master Storm Scout Case, AMD Athlon 64 X 2 3.11 cpu, 4 gig of ram, WinXP, 28 inch monitor and EVGA geforce 9800GT Akimbo graphics card. I want to upgrade to DDR5 memory. I use WinXP on this desktop because I found it better for gaming. Okay, I am torn between a 1GB or 2GB graphics card. DirectX 11 won't run on windows YET. I will be upgrading to an AM3 MOBO but not very soon. Can someone prescribe a good mid-range card for me. I noticed a NEW GTX 550 Ti G C Edition that is 2GB and under $200. I got a lot of good feedback on the GTX 400 series. Please advise. Thanx.

thanx for a quick and very helpful response badguy! I been hearing a lot of feedback on the GTX460. I think I will go with that one. I also been hearing that 2GB on a graphics card is really overkill.

I'm gonna go with the EVGA GTX 460 2GB. I will let the community know what it does. I like the EVGA name and website. And I have had the EVGA 9800GT for three years without ANY problems. Will post results when I get the card.

Okay gamers. Here's what I'm gonna do, based on all the reviews I've read and all the feedback and all the GTX cards I've looked at. I am going to get a GTX 560 Ti. It is bettery than the 550, newer than the 460 and rates as almost equal or better than the 570. I am going to NOT get an overclocked edition as reviews have said OC runs hotter and tend to have driver issues. My only question now is MSI frozr II or EVGA, both sound good, Frozr boasts better cooling, EVGA has lifetime warranty. Any feedback on deciding between these two would be appreciated.
