I've been browsing the forums for the past couple weeks and finally think it's time to order the parts for a new gaming rig. I'd like to be able to play in native 1680x1050 with the highest settings in Crysis. I am looking forward to D3 and probably not want to upgrade at least in the next 2 years. Any final thoughts or suggestions on what I should change or maybe need. I'd like to burn DL DVDs and OC to at least 3.8Ghz maybe even more. Thank you for any input fellas.

Looks good. Although for 1680x1050, i would think the 512 mb 4870 would suffice.

Yes depending on how much more the 1GB GPU is vs the 512MB, if it is alot more jsut stick with the 512MB. and you could get a NEC burner for alot less and just as good if not better.

it's only about $30, so stay with the 1GB

Power: You don't need 850W for that, only 650W

CPU: the 8500 is only another $10, OCing or not it's worth it.

Mobo: You could downgrade to the P5Q Pro, but it's only $12. Your call

Everything else is looking great!

Good choice in parts. The P5Q Pro ocs just as well as the P5Q-E for cheaper. Get DDR-2 1066 ram so you can oc past 400 FSB. Since you're not going to be upgrading soon, stick with the 1 GB 4870.
