4850x2 vs ENGTX260 Top

I would say the 4850 X2 would still perform much better, but the GTX 260 is the smarter buy at that resolution since you wont be using all of the 4850 X2.

um 1440x900 you don't need either... even a single 4850 would likely be overkill. max i would recommend is a 8800GT/9800GT. 9600GT flies on that resolution also.

btw, any dual gpu card or dual gpu solution will not scale very high at that low res. i play on that res on my 9600GT... flies.

+1 VENOM. at that resolution, there isn't a benefit to either.

I don't know about that. I have one 4850 and it can't play warhead on high settings with even 2x AA enabled. I think the 4850x2 would bring a big improvement to the AA settings and would increase overall fps substantially.

yup. the 8800 GT(9800 GT) is already on its death bed basically even for low res, I would say 4850, 9800 GTX. Thats a bit more future proofing.

Like Venom said, it doesn't take alot at that low resolution, but their certain games that need a little more power almost at any resolution

Crysis, Stalker etc
