Change BIOS setting from IDE to AHCI

I'm running a Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P motherboard. When I change the BIOS setting on "Onboard SATA/IDE Ctrl Mode" from IDE to AHCI I get a second Gigabyte GBB36X Controller listed under storage controllers and the message "xInsIDE.exe not working". I updated the Gigabyte GBB36X controller driver from ver to and the problem still exists. How can I correct this problem?

More about change bios setting ahci
  1. xInside.exe is added by the Raid drivers for the JMicron chipset.

This startup entry is started automatically from a Run, RunOnce, RunServices, or RunServicesOnce entry in the registry.
    See Registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run, HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
  2. Try removing the exe; you shouldnt need to run any .exe to activate a piece of hardware.

I also strongly recommend you use software RAID on that controller and not use the JMicron RAID drivers if that is what you installed.
