With "boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true", you can do so many
interesting things to the game that there's hardly any need for hacked
items -- except, of course, for JM Pescado's patches, because he's
relentlessly fixing every bug in the game.

When you have testingCheatsEnabled turned on, one of the things you can
do is to shift-click on the selected Sim and "Spawn..." special
objects. By now, most everybody knows about the "Tombstone of L&D",
which is just fabulous, and "Rodney's Death Creator", which lets you
kill the selected Sim in any possible manner (and have the color of the
ghost reflect the mode of death), especially useful foir getting rid of
Sims you don'y like (In order to select them, you'll need Merola's
Mind-Control Mirror, of course.)

But I recently found a great object that you can spawn, an object I had
overlooked. Many of the "Spawn..." objects aren't useful or
interesting, but the "Chance Card Tester", although it sounds
innocuous, is revolutionary.

With the chance card tester, you can force a chance card to appear
every single day, every time a Sim goes to work! This makes employment
much more interesting, as every time you make a choice you either get a
big bonus or a big baddus. ("a big malus" would sound too hoity-toity
and not be understood by many)

For example, if a hall-of-famer chooses to make that speech, he or she
might lose the job or might get a $40k bonus. I know that you get the
bonus more often because making the speech is the Right Thing To Do...

Less interesting, but more powerful, is the option to force a positive
result, in other words whatever choice you make will be the right
choice. As a medical chief of staff, the wrong choice is obviously to
send the intern away, and most of the time you should get a bad result;
but if you have used the cahnce card tester to force a positive result,
you get $80k right away! (That's the biggest bonus in the game, by the
way.)

When you force a positive result, doing the Wrong Thing usually gives a
bigger bonus; this is fair because without the forcing, you'd usually
get the bad result. Choosing the dark side is a big risk. But with the
forcing, well, as one of the chance cards says, "Muhahahaha!".

Combine the Chance Card Tester with a shift-click on the newspaper that
lets you choose any job, any level, and you can fill all skills and
make money fast, and the time spent at home seems so pointless, too
many days off, well, you can keep changing jobs with the shift-click
so you always go to work "today", or even twice a day when the end time
of one job allows you to change to a different job, like Mad Scientist
and Chief of Staff.

I only wish work was so much fun in real life.
