I see old threads where people bought OEM E8500 and saved money by not paying for the stock Heat Sink n Fan. I have looked at newegg, and only see one processor (I think its a Pentium) that is available OEM.

is E8500 *OEM* available at a price cheaper than "Retail" package?

i take a retail over oem unless you get from a really big seller like newegg

remember retail is the cream

and you only save $5 - for $5 i toss them in a pile and box them off to the smelter

there really is not that much difference in price - the bigger difference is sales - shop it
