Hi all,

I'm going to post this one more time, this time I'm giving my BIOS settings right away. I got this motherboard for a gaming / HTPC. It's known to be a decent overclocker. But I can't even get my motherboard to POST at DDR 800 with 4-4-4-15, or anything better than 5-5-5-18 with RAM that is rated to do so (can't boot at 4-5-5-18, 5-5-5-17, etc., even at DDR Voltage = 2.1 V.)

I got the Crucial Ballistix RAM featured here: http://www.tomshardware.com/review [...] 079-6.html
Tom's Hardware and several other reviewers easily get this RAM to do 4-4-4-12 or even 4-3-4-12. It gets 5 eggs at newegg!

I also tried some OCZ platinum RAM that several reviews tested as being able to get 4-4-4-12 at DDR 800.

Here are my BIOS settings:

FSB - Memory Clock Ratio = Auto
FSB - Memory Ratio = Auto
FSB (QDR), MHz = Auto (1333.3)
Actual FSB (QDR), MHz = 1333.3
MEM (DDR), MHz = Auto (800)
Actual MEM (DDR), MHz = 800

tCL = Auto (5)
tRCD = Auto (5)
tRP = Auto (5)
tRAS = Auto (18)
Command Per Clock (CMD) = Auto (2T)

tRRD = Auto (3)
tRC = Auto (23)
tWR = Auto (6)
tWTR = Auto (11)
tREF = Auto (7.6)

Robust Graphics Booster = Enabled
VGA Core Clock = +1%
CPU Clock Ratio = 9x
System Voltage Control = Manual
DDR2 Voltage Control = +1 V (1.900 V) <-----I tried different voltages here--2.0 V, 2.1 V, didn't help.
FSB Voltage Control = Normal
Chipset Voltage Control = Normal
CPU Voltage Control = Normal <-----Haven't tweaked these last 3, not sure what are good settings

Thank you so much for any suggestions on how to tweak BIOS so I can improve timings or overclock RAM to 1066!

Sorry about taking so long to get back to you, but I've been really busy:

http://img8.imageshack.us/img8/5094/water1006s.jpg
drilling holes for plumbing to the basement, and then installing, working overhead (with my head in the spider nests), power supply, pump, fan wiring, and noise-isolated radiator frame - radiator and fans should arrive today...
Anyway - as I said, this is an alien BIOS to me, so I'll have to learn something about the underlying physical stratum - i.e., how this MOBO/CPU talks to the memory on the hardware level, so I'll be a bit, but I will get back to you - this looks like an interesting challenge, but it comes in the middle of both a project, and my attempts to read all the Intel docs/techspecs for the i7/x58/tri-channel ram, to be able to better know what's going on with the new i7 MOBOs, too...

No worries, I'm patient, but thanks in advance for any info!
