Hello,

I am re seller of desktops/laptops on eBay which requires me to sell machines without any user data on them. I currently have a dedicated machine running DBAN (DBAN.org) on 3 HDDs simultaneously. I am running into problems when I try to erase more then 3 HDDS at once, either the computer crashes or DBAN fails. I am looking into building a better machine dedicated to erasing HDDS, I am looking for any suggestions regarding hardware or even software (even if it is not free) for a dedicated machine that can erase at least 4 hdds at once.

Thank You,

Regards,
FoFo

You might look into getting an add-on SATA controller card and maybe even a PATA card. You might be overworking the onboard controller.
As far as the other hardware take your pick. I wouldn't think anything over a p4 would make much of a difference.
