i have recently bought a computer from tigerdirect, it was local and quick, here are the specs

A reasonable purchase for someone who isn't up on current hardware, yes.

I think the build is fine, however, I'd choose a different PSU and mobo... but thats all up to the preference and budget. Definately look for a quality psu though.

It's a low-end board that you paid too much for. It's old.

It has two RAM slots that you have filled up with 1GB sticks, so to upgrade you will need to buy all new RAM. You could have got a 4GB set for nearly the same price.

You could have had a much newer P43 board for the same price, with 4 slots for RAM and many other features. Your 630i will not be particularly slow, and will likely run the Q6600 just fine.

An 800 dollar build from newegg could have had:
Antec 300 with Antec 650W combo - $120
4GB Mushkin RAM - 65
ASUS P5QL Pro P43 MB - 90
